![]() I installed the game again, this time through Steam, yet after finishing the installation I still face the same problem. Today on Monday morning 19/08 I took the cd activation key found within the game's case and activated it on my Steam account as well. Disgruntled, I uninstalled the game and removed all its contents. On the next day, Saturday 17/08 when I booted my pc again and launched the game again, both the RomeTW.exe and RomeTW-BI.exe refused to launch after multiple launch attempts at multiple compatibility modes and with admin privileges enabled ( my native is Win7 Ultimate 圆4 SP1, and I later tried at Win XP SP2, Win XP SP3, Win Vista SP1 and Win Vista SP2 ). ![]() I installed the game that evening, downloaded Updates 1.5 and 1.6 from Īnd updated to the latter, then launched Rome: Total War and played the Scipii and Greek campaigns just fine for at least 6 hours, to which point I quit the game, closed my PC and went to sleep. On Friday I bought a Rome: Total War Collection ( Rome: Total War Gold Edition & Alexander: Total War ) physical copy from my local MediaMarkt.
